Slide Skills

Learn how to make ace multimedia presentations that’ll keep your audience engaged.

Presentations are an important part of school and work, so how can we leverage a common software like PowerPoint or Slides to create engaging, aesthetic, and easy to understand presentations?

Students will learn how to take a presentation from ‘meh’ to ‘woah’ with an introduction to graphic design principles. Learn how to find the best (creative commons licensed) images, create gifs, and animate objects to make your presentations stand out from the rest.

This is also a great opportunity for your students to bring work from their current unit of study to workshop, or we can provide content related to our current exhibition.

+ Pairs well with...

This little module offers a great opportunity for students to bring their own content and knowledge from their school studies to their presentations. However, a gallery tour of MENTAL, SWARM or Emu Sky, might also offer a unique point of departure to theme this session.

As always, more time means better outcomes. We certainly wouldn’t discourage a second module, or attaching this to On Message, so that students can really take a deep dive into how to engage audiences.
