Science Gets Real: From problem to lab innovation to real-world impact

  • Science Gallery Melbourne Theatre The University of Melbourne Parkville, VIC, 3010 Australia (map)

Hear three inspiring stories from scientists whose innovations are solving real-world problems. When many don’t, why did these researchers succeed in moving their great ideas out of the lab and into use?

Join the panel of academics and a research impact expert to discuss lessons learned that could help more innovators bring solutions to make the world healthier, safer, and more equitable.

This Science Festival marquee event is being broadcast from the Science Gallery Melbourne. Online attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and join the live conversation.

In-person attendees will be invited to casual drinks and nibbles at the conclusion of the panel hosted by the Dean of Science, Professor Moira O’Bryan, and enjoy a private showing of the brand-new DARK MATTERS exhibition.
