In a world where resources are finite and our choices are infinite; how do we make the right one? When they say the future lies in our hands, we mean it! Every decision we make has a ripple effect in our world, so how do our decisions ensure we can survive and thrive on the planet?   

Join us as we step into the future and are presented with a range of events that need a decision – the time is now! When faced with climate events, food scarcity, or ecological changes, what will you prioritise? No action comes without consequence – your decision may tip the scales, but will it be in the direction you expect?   

Key Themes: climate adaptation, ethical decision making, science and society

  • Develop an understanding and appreciation of their role as agents of change in influencing outcomes for the world.    

    Consider the complexity of different stakeholders’ perspectives in relation to world events that humans will face now and into the future.  

    Evaluate the consequences of their choices and the impacts of these on different areas of society, the economy, and the environment.      

    Explore what is within their control to effect change in an uncertain world.    

    Self-reflect on their personal values towards their worldviews and decision making.
