Student podcasts respond to DISTRACTION

Distract yourself for a moment with student meditations on the power of distraction. In these short audio stories made for the Science Gallery's latest show, students explore how the attention economy begins right at the start of life, with app developers targeting the tiniest of consumers.  We hear about their struggles to disconnect from the streaming torrent of content that threatens to swamp us, as they turn to dumb phones and time management apps to refocus their fragmented attention.  We also learn how distraction can be a force for good, with escapist pastimes offering relief from worldly stress.  These stories offer an excellent primer for your exhibition experience.
