Science Gallery Melbourne Permanent Home Opening 2020

The University of Melbourne has secured the rights to the Australian node of the acclaimed Science Gallery Network. Galleries across the globe are committed to inspiring young people aged 15 - 25 through the collision of art and science.

Science Gallery Melbourne will be the cultural anchor of The University's new innovation precinct, Melbourne Connect. It will be a living lab for exhibitions and ideas, exploring the collision of art and science. It will play a vital role in shifting our understanding of science, art and innovation.

The University of Melbourne is developing Australia’s leading innovation precinct on the former site of the Royal Women’s Hospital, located on the corner of Swanston and Grattan streets in Carlton. Industry, researchers, government and the community will co-locate within the new precinct and collaborate to develop innovative solutions to major societal challenges.

Doors will open to the public in 2020.
