Join us to celebrate the launch of the SGM 2023 Excursion Program inspired by upcoming exhibitions, Breaking the Binaries (Terms 1 & 2) and Dark Matters (Terms 3 & 4).
At the launch, you will have the opportunity to hear from the Science Gallery Melbourne curatorial team about the 2023 exhibitions, preview our 2023 learning experiences, and experience our current exhibition SWARM which reflects on the pros and cons of collective behavior, social movements, artificial intelligence, and bio-communities. Use this time to explore where science and art collide, and experience firsthand our approach to STEAM learning with a tour led by Learning Experience Facilitators.
The Science Gallery Melbourne Excursion Program is co-designed and delivered by Learning Experience Facilitators – our in-house science communicators who are university STEM students and trained educators whose passion and curiosity provide a point of difference to a typical excursion experience. Our programs aim to immerse Year 7–12 students in exhibition themes, scientific research and emerging technologies, provoke critical thinking, and foster an inclusive and participatory space for curiosity, connection and creativity.
Refreshments will be provided and teachers who attend will go into a prize draw to win a free half-day workshop for their students.
We look forward to welcoming you to Science Gallery Melbourne.
