Begin with a guided tour around Science Gallery Melbourne’s latest exhibition MENTAL. You will need to book your hour slot separately here.

3pm - 3:30pm 

Grab a coffee before we begin the writing component of our event. 

3:30 - 5:30pm 

The UniMelb Science Communication Teaching Team will help you to write about science in an accessible and engaging way. Using prompts from the MENTAL exhibit and recent scientific events, you'll be guided on how to write articles for a general audience. Snacks provided! BYO computer or notepad. 

The UniMelb Science Communication Teaching Team teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate science students across all disciplines how to communicate their science in effective and engaging ways to a variety of different audiences. This event is part of the Faculty of Science's Science Festival. With more than 20 events planned between August 14 - 22, there's plenty to get involved with for die-hard science fans and those just starting out.
