Are you intrigued by the rhythmic and repetitive craft of crochet? Join us for a hands-on workshop where you can enter a state of flow while practicing this art.
In this session, you'll work with queer and neurodivergent artist Holly Goodridge who practices across the mediums of painting, sculpture and installation. Holly’s artistic practice offers them a way to escape the constraints of neurotypicality, allowing their artworks to serve as portals through which they reclaim their preferred reality.
During this interactive workshop, you will discover where your mind and hands can take you when you enter a creative flow. Holly will guide you through the essential stitches and steps needed to make your own colourful creations. You can work at your own pace and take home at least a wool square and new skills.
This session will be hosted in the gallery, in the heart of the DISTRACTION exhibition. All materials supplied. Suitable for ages 13 and above, and no prior knowledge or experience is required. Assistance will be available during the session.
Free, registration required.
