What does effective science communication look like? Come spend an afternoon writing and learning at Science Gallery Melbourne with Omni Sci Mag and Sara Phillips
Science Gallery Melbourne is partnering with OmniSci Magazine, UniMelb’s student science magazine, to run a science writing workshop!
The workshop will be jam-packed, kicking off with a talk by and Q&A with the award-winning science writer, Sara Phillips, followed by a science writing exercise by the OmniSci Editors-in-Chief using themes from the SWARM exhibition. Feedback for workshop attendees will also be provided at the end.
For any budding writers, or those keen to give science writing a try, this is for you! Sara will also be sharing her tips and tricks for effective science writing. So come along for a fun atmosphere, and the chance to get insight into the world of science communication and improve your writing skills!
This event is free, and all students and the general public are welcome. The SWARM exhibition will be open, so this is the perfect opportunity to walk through the gallery as well!
Please bring your own writing materials and/or devices for the workshop.
