Sci Fight Science Comedy Debate: Only science can achieve perfection

I think the most important themes for the night were perfection and how it’s perceived as well as how science fits into that idea. The topic of perfection was questioned in a way of what it is? What is the point of it? And why we crave it so much? I also questioned my own ideas about science. The themes of what science is was also tackled in the sense of if art could achieve perfection then it was science who made the artists which makes the original source of that perfection science. The ideas centred around the theme of perfection and how to achieve was firstly finding a purpose and reason for achieving the perfection, secondly basing what the perfection is off for example a day may seem perfect but something better could have happened so was it still perfect? And then thirdly achieving that perfection.

I believe that the event was relevant to me as I wish to go out into the scientific field and I hope to maybe one day create something that may be perceived as perfect. I also thought it was relevant to me in the sense off my ideas of perfection. Overall it was an incredible evening and I enjoyed it greatly.
