Inertia Artist Residency
Insight into the Inertia Artist Residency with Jen Rae and Claire G Coleman
I am grateful to Science Gallery Melbourne for the precious opportunity to deep-dive into the Inertia project after many Covid-related postponements in March. The residency lab provided a basecamp for me and to be joined with Centre for Reworlding collaborator Claire G. Coleman to develop this creative public event on 14 May that explores speculative preparedness from cellular, mental and physiological perspectives in a climate emergency context. For five days, we were able to have deep discussions with each other and other artists & experts; host a planning session on the Centre for Reworlding’s Council of Grandmothers, Mothers, Aunties and Sisters led by Aunty/Dr Vicki Couzens; and, speak with some of the splendid SGM invigilators and staff ~ Jen Rae
